Richard "Mick" McGuire is the Founder of Eastview Management, a private family investment office.  Previously, Mick was the Founder and Managing Partner of Marcato Capital Management, managing a select number of value, event-driven and activist investments across all industries.  In 2013, Marcato Capital Management was named by Institutional Investor as its Emerging Hedge Fund Manager of the Year as well as Absolute Return’s U.S Equity Fund of the Year.

 

Prior to forming Marcato in 2010, Mick was a partner at Pershing Square Capital Management, where he evaluated investments in the consumer, retail, financial services, and business services industries.​

 

Mick has spent his entire career in private and public equity investing and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University. 

 

Mick has also served on the board of Tipping Point Community, the Bay Area’s leading poverty-fighting organization.
